❓How do you know that your #COMMUNICATION is successful? Whether it’s a presentation, phone call or email?
✅ They write / speak back – they show interest? ?
✅ They ask questions? ??♂️
✅ Positive feedback? ??
Those are ALL great responses, and I hope that your audience is interested in what you say, that they ask questions and give your positive feedback
BUT then do they DO as you ask?
Do they AGREE to what you proposed?
Do they REMEMBER what you shared?
THAT is the test.
There is only ONE way to know if your communication is SUCCESSFUL ?
– If it met your OBJECTIVE ?
Last year I wrote an article titled ‘How do you know if your Presentation is successful?’ And this is the point I made about presentations.
Over the last year though, I’ve had the chance to conduct many #WRITINGworkshops – on #emailtips
And I find that this applies IRRESPECTIVE of the mode of communication.
If we are unclear about what we are trying to achieve – tangible or intangible then we are unlikely to get results.
So, the next time you are making an important communication. Ask yourself first ?:
▶️ What is it that I want my audience to KNOW, DO or AGREE to?
And then notice the difference!
Do you agree?
